The IT Office does not offer laptops for general student checkout. IT manages the software, hardware, configuration, and checkout of department-owned laptops for students who are eligible through specific academic programs.
Currently, department-owned laptops are available for:
-
Game and Animation: 20 Windows laptops
-
Foundation: Approximately 23 15-inch MacBook Air laptops for eligible incoming students
For Game and Animation Students
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled in Game and Animation may request a Windows laptop by submitting the PC Laptop Request Form for Game and Animation Students.
Once the request is approved:
- A Helpdesk ticket will be created automatically.
- The IT Office will contact the student by email.
- The email will include available pickup times and instructions for picking up the laptop.
For Incoming Foundation Students
The Admissions Office sends incoming Foundation students a technology survey. Based on the survey and program requirements, eligible students may qualify to receive a 15-inch MacBook Air.
Once students are approved:
- The Registration Office provides IT with a list of eligible students.
- IT prepares the laptops for distribution.
- IT contacts each eligible student directly with pickup instructions and available pickup times.

NOTE
The IT Office does not maintain a general inventory of laptops for student checkout.
Laptop requests must come through the appropriate department or office:
- Game and Animation Office — for Game and Animation students
- Registration Office — for eligible incoming Foundation students
Requests submitted outside of these processes cannot be fulfilled by the IT Office.
