Hardware Upgrade

• August: Each year, we upgrade approximately 1/4 to 1/5 of the lab computers, ensuring a complete hardware refresh every 4–5 years. High-demand areas, such as those used for Animation & Motion Design or Game & Entertainment Design, receive more frequent updates.

Software Upgrade

• August: We perform software upgrades and system re-imaging to ensure all computers are fully ready for the semester starting in late August. 
• Winter Break: Software upgrades and system re-imaging are completed to ready the computers for the semester beginning in mid-January. 
• May: Routine maintenance and updates are conducted in preparation for summer programs.

Note: Software versions will be locked on August 1 and will remain unchanged throughout the fall semester. A mid-year software update will take place over winter break, with software versions locking on December 1 and remaining consistent throughout the spring semester.
